    In the beginning, Wolfgang Schmidt had an apprentice. He worked with self-made tools and used machines, which he overhauled himself in Wiesbaden. After ten weeks of independence, the first punching tools, molds and devices were built. The working day almost always had 18 hours. The first customers: MBS, Luhewerk, Eriksen, Babcock, Hako, etc. After 12 months, two apprentices, four journeymen and a master were already working there. The machine park is constantly being expanded and the workforce is growing from year to year. WE-MA is developing from a tool making company into a supplier to large-scale industry.
